I wrote a thingy.

Title: Canaries in the Mines
Fandom: BioShock Infinite
Rating / Pairing: Gen
Words: 1433
Summary: The Songbird brings Elizabeth back to the tower. That doesn’t mean it’s ignorant to what happens next.

Huge thanks to doughtier for looking this over for me. It’s the first thing I’ve written and published in two and a half years, so to say I’m a little bit rusty is a kind understatement.

Ever wonder what BioShock Infinite would look like if it was a Disney animated film?

Thanks to Feli Tomkinson, you don’t have to! These pictures are huge, and there’s a great amount of detail there. It really makes you wish this was a real thing, ya know?

Be sure to head to Feli’s deviantart page and see what else this talented artist has worked up.

This has gotten me thinking though: If it came down to seeing it adapted as a movie — and don’t get me wrong; the game is perfectly fine — would you rather it be live-action or animated?

Eleanor vs Elizabeth

How about this for an alternate multiverse: Booker never makes it, and Comstock breaks Elizabeth…

Elizabeth: “It wasn’t the torture that broke me, It wasn’t the indoctrination, It was time. Time rots everything Booker. Even Hope.”

This leads to her Columbia attacking New York in 1984.

However, in this thread, a young girl with extraordinary powers emerges from the sea in 1968. She bides her time, waiting for her opportunity…

Eleanor: “The Rapture dream is over, and in waking I am reborn. You may not have wanted me father, but you defined me. You chose to survive, no matter the cost, and I will not let your instincts go to waste. You’ll always be with me father, your memories, your drives; when I need you, you’ll be there whispering from my shoulder. There is no name for what I am, but the world is about to change. And with your help they will never see me coming.”

This sets the scene for a clash of the Bioshock Titans in 1984.

“Welcome to the failed utopia challenge stakes! Representing Rapture we have our very own Big Sister, Eleanor Lamb the avenging angel, wreaking genetically enhanced havoc! In the Columbia corner we have Elizabeth ‘Lamb of Columbia’ Comstock, a demi-god who sees beyond the Sea of Doors, giving her mastery of all the infinite multiverses! Only one way to tell who’ll triumph in the end… FIGHT!”

Bioshock Infinite: Songbird

I know a lot of people have said that they wanted to see Booker take Elizabeth to Paris…

I want Songbird to take Elizabeth to Paris.

(and I’m happy that behind one of the lighthouse doors there’s a reality where this happens, is happening, has happened.)
